About me

I am a filmmaker and producer who thrives on wearing many different hats in the industry. At heart, I’m a writer and director, having created independent short films that have gained international recognition, including entries in Oscar qualifying and BAFTA qualifying festivals. My work is often focused on marginalized, character driven stories that push against rigid social structures. I love crafting simple, real time narratives that blend drama, comedy, and satire to create a powerful impact.

Early in my career, I explored various roles, working as an editor, videographer, and photographer for several content studios and short-form productions. I’ve developed a deep appreciation for visual storytelling, paired with a strong eye for compelling aesthetics.

I began my journey in Beirut, Lebanon, after graduating from the Lebanese American University of Beirut. My short film Sugarcoat won Best Capstone Project in 2018, went on to screen at multiple festivals, and earned a nomination for Best International Short Comedy at NewFilmmakers LA.

Later, I was awarded a full scholarship to pursue an MA in Practical Filmmaking at the University of Sussex in the UK, where I graduated with distinction. My second short film, Lower Ground, which was my master’s project, was admitted to several Oscar and BAFTA qualifying festivals and won a few awards. During this time, I sharpened my skills in directing and screenwriting.

Afterward, I moved to London, where I took on various roles within documentary and unscripted content. I’ve worked as a researcher and assistant producer, supporting teams across production and editorial. More recently, I’ve been taking on shoot-producing and field-producing roles, helping to bring projects to life.

Fluent in both English and Arabic, I bring valuable knowledge of the Middle East to the table, which has allowed me to support Arabic-language productions in the UK. This cultural perspective enriches my storytelling and production skills, making me a versatile asset for both local and international projects.
